Iggy Loves Bedtime

He'll go to bed when you do, otherwise he'll just settle in on the couch or his bed and sleep anyway.

Iggy goes out for the final potty whenever you’re ready for bed, if he’s tired he’ll just sleep on the couch, his dog bed, or upstairs in the nap bed. He doesn’t have a set bedtime. Once inside, tell Iggy “let's go crate!”, He may wait for you to go up first but he knows to go straight to his crate and wait for a treat. If he's being difficult you can also ask him "Iggy, bedtime! Want a hunky chunky?" and he'll usually come in.

You might hear him dig around in his blankets but he settles quickly.

You can put him to sleep and then keep going around the house to get ready for bed, make tea, etc. If he hears the front door open though, he will get upset. We do not leave him in the crate when we leave the house under any circumstances, not even for a few minutes, he will hurt himself trying to get out and scream like a captive in a murder house.

Iggy is a solid sleeper and can go until 9am-ish, but will let you know vocally if he’s ready to come out.
